BEAM TEAM is a multimedia collective founded by Anja Romih and Stella Ivšek in 2019.
What began as a creative collaboration between two visual artists has since evolved into a wider network of collaborators working across video projection, audio-visual installations, interactive media and performance.
They explore the intersection of technology, visuals, light, and sound, creating immersive site-specific experiences that respond to architecture, context, and contemporary themes.
In addition to producing commissioned and self-initiated works showcased locally and internationally, BEAM TEAM is actively involved in mentorship, workshop facilitation, and curatorial work—supporting the next generation of artists and fostering community engagement through educational and collaborative projects.

Portal 2023 a/v installation
The sensory experience Portal plays with the spectator’s perception. In a spatial setting, a kind of tunnel, light and sound are synchronised in such a way that it seems as if the spectators are looking at each other at both ends through different spherical openings. This is where the light show takes place, emphasised using some special effects. Portal negates the rigid linear time and space and creates a fluid polygon of infinity, timelessness, and wholeness, which completely baffles the viewer in perceiving the world.

The Grid interactive a/v installation 2021
The authorial interactive installation explores the perceptual loops of auditory and visual reality. The fullness of their execution is supported by a mapped video projection enriched with sound and an electronic interface that allows interactive generation of audiovisual content. The viewers are of key importance here, of course, as they can trigger various states of virtual reality by moving through the grid in space, all while being followed by a gigantic animated eye – the central element of the installation that evokes many dystopian impressions with its threatening grotesqueness.
